Ahhh…the life of an editor. In addition to working on our December issue, which will feature the annual Best of Berks contest winners, we are working hard on our 2010 issues. Our talented staff of more than 40 freelance writers and photographers have suggested many wonderful feature articles and photos – keep reading!

We also love to hear story ideas from our readers. Which restaurants should we feature in our Dining Out section? Which local movers and shakers should we highlight in our In the Limelight section? What fashion articles would you love to read about in The Look? What home and garden projects can we tackle in our Living In Style section? What local businesses or events should we feature in Around Town? Perhaps you have a suggestion about a “Hidden Gem” in this region and you want us to help you share the news with everyone in town?

Where does the time go? While I am running a magazine, it can be hard to keep track. Actually, at any given moment, it’s hard to even know what month it actually is. I know that sounds funny, but it’s the truth!  Each month the BCL staff is dealing with issues from the past as we plan for the future. In this month alone, we had our November issue publish, we send our December issue to the printer, we received invoices paid from our September & October issue advertisers, we are producing our January 2010 issue, we are assigning articles to our freelance staff for the February 2010 issue, planning content for our March 2010 issue and beyond…and remember it is still November! So you can imagine how the calendar never seems to stop spinning! Wait, what month did I say it was? Someone stop the ride!
