NIKKI M. MURRY | Editor-In-Chief

Though just getting her start with Berks County Living in May of 2011, Hamburg resident Nikki M. Murry has an extensive background in covering the people, places and activities that encompass Berks County. After graduating from Kutztown University with a degree in professional writing, she worked as a marketing associate for the Berks Arts Council by day, and as a freelance reporter by night for the Reading Eagle, covering municipal and school board meetings. She later took a position with Berks-Mont Newspapers, a weekly newspaper group based in Boyertown, serving as editor for the Hamburg Area Item and Kutztown Area Patriot newspapers, and later as managing editor of the group’s five publications across Berks. Most recently, she was editor of Central Penn Parent magazine in Harrisburg.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, Riley, 6, her 11-year-old Papillon, Striker, watching baseball and traveling. New York City and Walt Disney World are among her favorite vacation spots. | 610.763.7500
